How Inspection Works
From booking to report — your complete inspection journey
Find a Listing That Offers Inspection
Look for the 🔍 inspection badge on a listing, or filter your search to show only phones where the seller has allowed it. A seller who is happy to have the phone checked is telling you something useful.
Request the Inspection
Ask for it from the listing itself, or from your chat with the seller. The request goes straight to them — Mehfoz does not send anyone out before they have agreed.
The Seller Confirms
The seller has to agree to make the phone available. They can decline, and if they do not answer within 24 hours the request expires on its own. Nothing is charged until they have said yes.
Pay the Rs 1,000 Fee
Once the seller has agreed, pay by bank transfer to Mehfoz and upload the receipt. Mehfoz checks the transfer before an inspector is sent. There is no time slot to choose.
An Inspector Visits and Checks the Phone
Mehfoz assigns one of its inspectors, who travels to the seller with the tools for the job and works through the checklist — IMEI and PTA status, locks, display and touch, battery and charging, cameras and audio, connectivity and sensors, buttons, physical condition and what is in the box. Findings are recorded with photos as they go.
You Get the Report
When the report is published you are emailed, and you read it in your Mehfoz account under My Inspections — every check, with the inspector's photos. From there you can buy at the asking price knowing the condition, negotiate on what was found, or walk away.
