Refund Policy

1. Overview

Mehfoz is committed to fair refunds for valid claims. This policy explains when refunds apply, how to request them, and how they are processed. Refund eligibility depends on whether you used Buyer Protection and the nature of the issue.

2. Buyer Protection Refunds

If you used Buyer Protection (2.5 percent fee), you are eligible for a full refund in these cases: phone never delivered within agreed timeframe; phone significantly differs from listing description; phone has undisclosed defects (water damage, broken screen, etc.); phone is stolen, blacklisted, or has legal issues; seller becomes unresponsive after payment; or you report issues within 48 hours of delivery. The 2.5 percent protection fee is also refunded if your refund is approved.

3. Inspection Service Refunds

The Rs 1,500 inspection service fee is non-refundable for completed inspections - even if you choose not to buy the phone based on inspection findings. The service itself was provided. However, you can request a refund if: inspection was not actually performed; inspector failed to deliver report within 48 hours; or you are unsatisfied with inspection quality. Contact support@mehfoz.pk within 7 days of inspection.

4. Listing Fees

Listing on Mehfoz is free, so there are no listing fees to refund. If you were charged any unexpected fee for listings, contact us immediately for a refund.

5. Refund Process

Step 1: Initiate refund request through your account dashboard or contact support. Step 2: Provide evidence (photos, videos, chat logs, shipping records). Step 3: Mehfoz reviews evidence within 24 hours. Step 4: If approved, refund is processed within 24 hours of decision. Step 5: Payment arrives via original payment method.

6. Refund Timelines

JazzCash and EasyPaisa refunds: Instant to 2 hours. Bank transfers (HBL, MCB, UBL, etc.): 1-3 business days. Credit/Debit cards (via SafePay): 5-7 business days. Cash payments: Not applicable (handled between buyer and seller directly). You will receive notifications at each step via SMS and email.

7. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are not available for: phones bought without Buyer Protection (direct seller transactions); buyer remorse after the 48-hour inspection window; issues caused by buyers misuse after receiving the phone; phones modified or repaired by buyer; or false claims (which may result in account penalties). Be sure to use Buyer Protection for guaranteed refund eligibility.

8. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a refund decision, you can: appeal within 7 days by providing additional evidence; request escalation to senior support manager; or pursue legal remedies under Pakistani consumer protection law. Mehfoz reviews appeals fairly using all available evidence.

9. Seller Side

Sellers receive payment when: buyer confirms receipt within 48 hours; or 48 hours pass without buyer reporting issues (automatic release). If a refund is approved against you: payment held in Buyer Protection is returned to buyer; your trust score may be affected; repeat refund cases may result in account suspension. Sellers should ensure honest listings and quality service to avoid refund disputes.

10. Returns of Goods

For approved refunds, the phone must be returned to the seller (if shipped). Mehfoz coordinates return shipping at the sellers expense. The buyer must: package the phone securely (preferably original packaging); include all original accessories received; ship via Mehfoz-approved courier within 3 days; and provide tracking number. Refund is processed once seller confirms receipt of returned phone in original condition.

11. Special Cases

Stolen Phones: Immediate full refund. Mehfoz reports to authorities. Account Hacking: If unauthorized purchases were made, contact us immediately for emergency refund and account security review. Service Disruptions: If Mehfoz service issues prevent normal transaction completion, you may be eligible for refunds and compensation.
