Quick Summary
Expected Price in Pakistan
All figures are expected estimates based on import/PTA cost trends — not official Apple prices. Prices may change after the official launch.
| Variant | Expected Non-PTA | Expected PTA Approved | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A08 4GB/64GB (expected) | Rs 34,000 – Rs 37,000 | Rs 40,000 – Rs 43,000 | Expected |
| Galaxy A08 4GB/128GB (expected) | Rs 36,000 – Rs 40,000 | Rs 43,000 – Rs 47,000 | Expected |
| Galaxy A08 4GB/256GB (expected) | Rs 39,000 – Rs 42,000 | Rs 46,000 – Rs 50,000 | Expected |
Pakistani prices are estimates, not Samsung Pakistan or PTA figures. They anchor to the ~€150 European price (about Rs 49,000 at face value), to the Galaxy A07's official Pakistani price of about Rs 37,000 and to Pakistani tech media’s Rs 40,000–50,000 projection. Samsung sells the A-series officially in Pakistan with PTA included and local warranty, so compare against the official column; the non-PTA column is a grey-import reference only.
Official (September 2026): what Samsung launched
Samsung released the Galaxy A08 on 15 September 2026, first on its European regional stores, at roughly €150. It is the successor to the Galaxy A07 and keeps the same recipe at the very bottom of Samsung's range: a 6.7-inch HD+ (720 × 1,600) PLS LCD at 90Hz, the MediaTek Helio G99 (6nm), 4GB of RAM with 64GB, 128GB or 256GB of storage and a microSD slot.
The upgrade that matters is the battery: 6,000mAh, up from the A07's 5,000mAh, with 25W charging. The cameras are a 50MP f/1.8 main (1080p video) and an 8MP front camera. New this generation is an IP64 rating against dust and splashes. It ships with Android 17 and One UI 9 and carries Samsung's budget-line promise of six OS upgrades and six years of security updates. Colours are Navy Blue, Silver and Green; it is a 4G phone (the 5G model is the separate Galaxy A07s, launched 7 September).
Samsung Pakistan has not announced the A08. Pakistani tech media expects it within weeks, potentially in October 2026, and the A07 — its predecessor — is on sale here officially at about Rs 37,000.
How much will the Galaxy A08 cost in Pakistan?
Samsung Pakistan prices the A0x line below straight European conversions: €150 is about Rs 49,000 at face value, but the Galaxy A07 sells here at about Rs 37,000. Allowing for the bigger battery and the rupee, we expect the A08 at Rs 40,000–43,000 for 4GB/64GB, Rs 43,000–47,000 for 128GB and Rs 46,000–50,000 for 256GB — estimates in line with Pakistani tech media’s Rs 40,000–50,000 projection, not Samsung figures.
At this price the smart route is official Samsung Pakistan stock: PTA-included, local warranty, and the PTA tax on an imported unit (roughly Rs 8,000–12,000, estimate) would erase any grey-market saving.

Galaxy A08 Non-PTA vs PTA / official price
A non-PTA A08 would be the cheapest sticker, but a Pakistani SIM works only for about a 60-day grace period before DIRBS blocks it, and the tax then due is a large share of a Rs 40,000 phone.
For entry-level Samsungs we always recommend official Pakistani stock or already PTA-approved units: permanent SIM use, Samsung's local warranty and better resale. See PTA-approved phones in Faisalabad and our PTA compliance guide.
Verify the IMEI on the official DIRBS portal before paying — on Mehfoz, PTA status is declared on every listing.
Galaxy A08 launch timeline
August 2026: Samsung's support pages for the A07s and A08 went live. 7 September 2026: the Galaxy A07s (5G) launched. 15 September 2026 (official): the Galaxy A08 released in Europe at about €150. October 2026 (expected): Samsung Pakistan launch — not confirmed. 2027 (expected): first used units on Pakistani markets.
Expected availability: Pakistan, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, UK and USA
Pakistan (expected): an official launch is very likely — the A0x line is one of Samsung's highest-volume lines here and the A07 is on sale officially — but Samsung Pakistan has not announced a date. Europe (official): Serbia, Bosnia and other regional stores first, from 15 September. Dubai / Saudi Arabia (expected): Gulf availability usually follows within weeks; Gulf-bought units are non-PTA in Pakistan until registered.
UK / USA (expected): Samsung usually ships different A0x configurations to those markets, if at all. Timings outside Europe are expectations based on the A06/A07 cycles.
Who should buy the Galaxy A08, who should skip, who should wait?
Buy if you want the cheapest new Samsung with six years of updates, a 6,000mAh battery and local warranty — for a first smartphone or a work phone it is hard to argue with once Samsung Pakistan prices it around Rs 40,000.
Skip if you own an A07: the battery is the only real change. Stretch to a Galaxy A17 if you can — an AMOLED screen and a much better camera for a few thousand rupees more — or buy a used A16/A17 on Mehfoz for the same money as a new A08.
Expected resale value and future price history in Pakistan
Budget Galaxy A phones hold value well in Pakistan because demand is constant. Based on the A05/A06/A07 pattern, an official A08 is estimated to retain roughly 70–80% of its price after 6 months, 55–65% after 1 year and 40–50% after 2 years. Estimates, not guarantees; non-PTA units fare worse.
No Pakistani price history exists yet — after launch this section will track the A08's official, market and used prices. When you upgrade, sell your current phone on Mehfoz with verified PTA status — A-series phones are among the quickest sellers on the platform.
How we researched this guide (editorial note)
Specifications and the European price come from the international tech press’s Galaxy A08 entry and Samsung's regional product pages; the Pakistan expectation and the Rs 40,000–50,000 projection come from Pakistani tech media (17 September 2026), cross-checked against the Galaxy A07's current official Pakistani price. Confidence: high on specifications; moderate on the October timing; lowest on the exact Pakistani price, which Samsung Pakistan has not announced. PTA Tax — What Pakistani Buyers Should Know
- A non-PTA Galaxy A08 will run a Pakistani SIM only for about a 60-day traveller grace period, then the SIM is blocked until PTA tax is paid.
- Entry-band imports face an expected Rs 8,000–12,000 PTA tax on CNIC (estimate) — a large share of the phone's price, which is why official Samsung Pakistan stock is the smarter buy.
- Samsung sells the A-series officially in Pakistan with local warranty — official stock is PTA-included and usually arrives within weeks of a European launch.
- PTA/FBR tax slabs change over time — verify the live figure on the official DIRBS portal before paying.
- Always confirm whether a quoted price is PTA-paid or non-PTA — see PTA-approved phones in Faisalabad.
Final PTA tax for any model should be verified from official PTA/FBR sources once available. We do not claim official PTA tax for unreleased models.

When will the Galaxy A08 launch in Pakistan?+
Not announced. Samsung released it in Europe on 15 September 2026, and Pakistani tech media expects Pakistan within weeks, potentially October 2026. Samsung usually brings the A0x line here quickly because it is one of its best-selling lines.
What are the Galaxy A08 specifications?+
A 6.7-inch HD+ PLS LCD at 90Hz, the MediaTek Helio G99, 4GB RAM with 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage plus microSD, a 50MP main camera and 8MP selfie camera, a 6,000mAh battery with 25W charging, IP64, and Android 17 with One UI 9 plus six OS upgrades and six years of security updates. It is a 4G phone in Navy Blue, Silver or Green.
What is the difference between the Galaxy A08 and A07s?+
The A08 is the 4G model with a Helio G99 and a 6,000mAh battery (15 September 2026). The A07s, launched 7 September, is the 5G model with an upgraded Helio G99+ chip. Samsung sells them as separate phones; Pakistan pricing for either is not announced.
How much will the Galaxy A08 PTA tax be?+
Official Samsung Pakistan stock includes PTA, so nothing extra. For an imported unit, entry-level phones currently face roughly Rs 8,000–12,000 on CNIC (estimate) — check the DIRBS portal for the live figure.
Galaxy A08 or Galaxy A07 — is it worth waiting?+
If you need a phone now, the A07 is the same phone with a smaller battery and will get cheaper once the A08 lands. If a 6,000mAh battery matters, wait a few weeks for the A08’s official Pakistani price.
Galaxy A08 or Galaxy A17?+
The A17 is the better phone — a FHD+ Super AMOLED screen and a 50MP OIS camera — for roughly Rs 65,000. The A08 is for buyers who must stay near Rs 40,000 and want the 6,000mAh battery, IP64 and six years of updates.
Is a used Samsung A-series a good buy in Faisalabad?+
Yes — A-series phones are among the quickest-selling used phones in Pakistan, so clean PTA-approved A16 and A17 units are easy to find for A08 money. Every Mehfoz listing can be inspected before you pay and bought with protection on eligible deals.
What will the Galaxy A08 resale value be?+
Based on the A05/A06/A07 pattern, roughly 70–80% of its price after six months, 55–65% after a year and 40–50% after two years for an official unit. Estimates only; non-PTA units resell for less.
Can I buy a used Galaxy A08 on Mehfoz?+
Yes — once it launches here and early buyers resell, used A08 listings will appear on Mehfoz with verified PTA status, optional physical inspection and buyer protection on eligible deals.
