What to check on a used iPhone 15 Pro Max
A few quick checks separate a great buy from a costly mistake — spend a few minutes on these before you pay.
- ✓Battery health — ask for the exact percentage; a tired battery is the most common hidden cost on a used phone.
- ✓Every iPhone 15 Pro Max listed here is graded excellent or good — still check the screen and frame yourself; a grade is the seller's word.
- ✓Face ID / Touch ID and True Tone — confirm they work; a missing True Tone can point to a replaced screen.
- ✓IMEI and PTA — 23 of these 38 listings are non-PTA, so check which one you are looking at: dial *#06# and verify on the official PTA DIRBS portal or via 8484.
- ✓iCloud / Activation Lock — make sure it is signed out of the previous Apple ID with Find My off, or the phone is unusable.
Fair used iPhone 15 Pro Max price guidance in Faisalabad
Across the 38 live listings on Mehfoz right now, a used iPhone 15 Pro Max in Faisalabad runs about Rs 160,000 to Rs 290,000, with the typical asking price around Rs 182,500. Asking prices on this model sit close together, so condition, battery health and what is included decide which is the better buy. There is no single fixed price — it depends on storage, PTA status, battery health and overall condition. A PTA approved unit in clean condition with strong battery health sits at the top of the range, while non-PTA units, tired batteries or replaced parts sell for noticeably less. Compare several live listings on Mehfoz, factor in battery health and any PTA tax, and you will quickly see what a fair deal looks like for the exact spec you want.
PTA vs non-PTA iPhone 15 Pro Max
Of the 38 iPhone 15 Pro Max listings in Faisalabad right now, 15 are PTA approved and 23 are non-PTA — which is most of the price gap you will see between two otherwise similar phones. A PTA approved iPhone 15 Pro Max works on Jazz, Zong, Telenor and Ufone with no SIM block and is easier to resell. A non-PTA unit is cheaper up front but needs DIRBS tax to stay usable on your SIM beyond the grace period — verify the IMEI on the official PTA DIRBS portal and add any likely tax before deciding which is genuinely cheaper.
