What to check on a used iPhone SE (2020)
A few quick checks separate a great buy from a costly mistake — spend a few minutes on these before you pay.
- ✓Battery health — ask for the exact percentage; a tired battery is the most common hidden cost on a used phone.
- ✓Condition varies here — 1 of the 27 iPhone SE (2020) listings is graded fair or poor, so read the grade and the photos before you travel.
- ✓Face ID / Touch ID and True Tone — confirm they work; a missing True Tone can point to a replaced screen.
- ✓IMEI and PTA — 7 of these 27 listings are non-PTA, so check which one you are looking at: dial *#06# and verify on the official PTA DIRBS portal or via 8484.
- ✓iCloud / Activation Lock — make sure it is signed out of the previous Apple ID with Find My off, or the phone is unusable.

PTA vs non-PTA iPhone SE (2020)
Of the 27 iPhone SE (2020) listings in Faisalabad right now, 20 are PTA approved and 7 are non-PTA — which is most of the price gap you will see between two otherwise similar phones. A PTA approved iPhone SE (2020) works on Jazz, Zong, Telenor and Ufone with no SIM block and is easier to resell. A non-PTA unit is cheaper up front but needs DIRBS tax to stay usable on your SIM beyond the grace period — verify the IMEI on the official PTA DIRBS portal and add any likely tax before deciding which is genuinely cheaper.
